I love tracking my steps.
Imagine my disappointment when, earlier this year, I couldn’t seem to use my fitbit anymore with my android. I have had a handful of trackers over the years, some old-school, a few fitbits, and one generic watch/step tracker that lasted a couple months.
I finally got a garmin earlier this week and am happy to say that I broke 5000 steps today, and even hit 12000+ the last few days.
The garmin watch has many features including a body battery thing that it tracks for your viewing pleasure and let me tell you that my battery is currently like, zero. It’s actually 5 but I think that’s as low as it goes. Apparently I have as much stress while sleeping as I do while I’m awake-maybe, strangely, more???
So I won’t be wearing my watch to bed.
I don’t need my smartwatch to tell me things I don’t already know like:
- You slept like crap
- Your pulse ox dips overnight but sadly, a watch probably isn’t the most accurate measure of your blood oxygen
- Your body battery did not recharge last night (at least not to 100%) so it is probably time to get a new one
Anyway, I did get over 5000 steps! Here’s to more steps tomorrow, even though it is disgustingly hot outside and my goal is to see if I can get negative steps on my extra day off.
Thanks for reading! I hope it is not as hot where you live as it is here, and if it is, that you have an excellent HVAC system. And if you like what I write, please subscribe! 🙂
