What’s a mystery from your own life that you’ve never solved?

I was a 70s/80s kid…

This meant movies like E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Star Wars (like, the first one… in the theater). Old Doctor Who episodes. Star Trek. I loved it. My dad was a bit of a sci-fi fan. I think he passed it on to me.

So I had my head full of this stuff as a kid- Space. Aliens. Creatures of all kinds.

One night, we were sitting eating dinner. I facing our back door. While I was sitting there, most likely not eating dinner, I swear I saw an alien shape, standing there at the back door. Then, just as suddenly, it was gone.

My parents, I’m pretty sure, told me it was nothing.

But I was convinced I saw something.

Maybe it was someone outside the door. Maybe not. It’s one of those unsolved mysteries of my life.

And I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact that I was watching way too much sci-fi at the time. 🙂
