What is your mission
Over the years, like many people, my mission has changed. When I was young, I wanted to get a good job, make money, have fun.
Then life took a different turn. I had kids. Became a stay-at-home mom. Got involved in support groups for moms, homeschoolers, and teaching/learning. I had the opportunity to learn along other parents and kids, writing and sharing our work.
Then I ended up getting divorced and spent time going back to school for a completely different career, becoming an RN right around age 50.
Now, more than anything I want to help others. There are so many ways to do this. In my line of work, it is fairly direct and obvious when I’m helping someone. But we can help someone in so many ways.
Sometimes our writing can inspire someone else. Our art, our cooking, our companionship can help others.
So while I continue to help others in my line of work, I like to think about the other ways I can help someone too. Helping other people helps me get out of myself and feel connected with others.
What’s your mission in life?
I look forward to reading from others! I can’t believe we are in 2026!
