I would love a sequel to Wormwood. I mean Woodworm. Or, perhaps, a prequel? Maybe both!
I keep wanting to call the book wormwood. I used to have a lot of wormwood plants in my yard. It was a very pretty plant:

Woodworm by Layla Martinez was one of my favorite reads so far this year. I could not stop reading it. It was so creepy. I’d love to hear more. I don’t know what might happen next. A prequel would be cool, too. 🙂
The Wax Child by Olga Ravn might be an interesting one for a sequel, too. Or maybe the story could be told from the point of view of one of the actual children in the story, and how that changes their entire view of the world and how they interact with the world for the rest of their lives.
My Summerween reading fest continues… and now I’m reading When Darkness Loves Us, by Elizabeth Engstrom. A young woman gets stuck in an underground tunnel system. For months, and years.
What are you reading these days? I’d love to hear from you!
