I don’t actually have a cat. But I am feeling like I have a long-haired, white cat at this very moment. Let me explain:
We’re moving to a new rental property, upgrading from our second floor apartment to a townhouse (end unit, close to a park, very walkable area). We’re renting because, although I’ve been a homeowner before, I actually like having someone else worry about maintenance, replacing things, etc. I’ve been a homeowner before, I know what that’s like!
So I’m over at our new place cleaning yesterday, doing that deep-clean before move-in kinda clean. I had the stairs to the upstairs, the bedrooms and the family room carpets professionally cleaned (again) because of allergies. So yesterday I’m over there, looking around upstairs and I’m like, huh, that looks like cat hair on the floor. And it was. A lot of it. Little clumps everywhere. And even like, cat claw sheaths along the edges of the room (sorry, I know… disgusting lol).
So I go back with my vacuum cleaner, and after vacuuming the steps to the upstairs and the three bedrooms I had a full canister of cat fluff (and other stuff). In fact, I opened up the canister to empty it and a whole new cat ran out. Okay I’m kidding. But why so much fluff!!!
The previous owner “supposedly” had no cat. But obviously, they did. And now, I feel like I do. Without the benefits of decreased stress and increased longevity! Which are actual good things about owning a pet. ๐
