My two favorite websites these days?
YouTube and Bandcamp.
Yep. Bandcamp. And YouTube.
Music is what gets me through my days, my weeks.
And I love reading, so I like watching book review videos, along with journal videos. Annotating videos.
I don’t have many other websites that I follow and read regularly. I prefer my reading material in paper form. Give me a stack of books and magazines to read through and a cup of coffee and I’m happy as a clam. And the magazines don’t need to be anything special, as a matter of fact if it’s something I never read it’s more interesting. Or just give me some National Geographics from the 70s and some old Women’s World magazines so I can read about different places and some weird recipes that I’ll never try. ๐
Anyway, those are my favorite websites. But where do I actually spent the most time online? That is another story entirely. I’m still in school (I’m an RN, working on a BSN) so I spend a good amount of time on my school’s website. I spend way too much time sifting through emails, since I have so many other sites that I sign up for notifications for and I like to read those emails.
I still use facebook to keep up with some friends, but I’ll also read articles on there.
I subscribe to my local newspaper so I read that, although not every day. And I have my other news sites that I read, again not every day- I do value my sanity. I can only handle so much news.
I used to read a lot of blogs, and now I’m kinda getting back into it so finding my favorites again just takes some time. It seems though, that things have shifted. Whereas a decade ago I’d read a lot of people’s personal websites, these days it’s almost…. less personal?
I’m curious to see where everyone else is spending their time online! And do you think your favorite websites bring you happiness? I think that my favorites do, but the ones where I spend a lot of time? Eh… not as much.
