A good leader-
Shows and doesn’t tell (they don’t have to).
Leads by example.
Is strong and kind.
Knows what is important.
Knows how to apologize.
And knows when to admit that they were wrong.
Good leaders inspire others to do the right thing.
Last night, one of my local radio stations played some of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.
One line in particular really resonated with me: “With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.”
I feel that, in the United States and in so many places around the world, we are so far from this “beautiful symphony” that he spoke of. But maybe that is what is necessary at this time, in this place, for us to really come together.
I’m curious what others have written on this prompt! Have a great week, everyone!
