I haven’t thought about this one in a while… but I think more than anything I want to give people the impression that I’m kind, and that I care. My natural tendency is to take things too seriously, so another thing that I try to impress on people is that I do indeed have a sense (however small) of humor. I actually like more than anything to make people laugh, or at the very least, smile. I work with people who are facing serious illnesses and when I hear them say they love coming to my center, not because of what they have, but because they love seeing myself and my coworkers, I feel like I’m doing a good job of making a good first impression. 🙂
