What are your favorite types of foods?

I love pizza. At my old house, my ex and I built this enormous wood-fired pizza oven. I probably weighed like 20 pounds more than I do now because every weekend- literally every weekend- we would spend a day cranking out pizzas and eating them and sharing them with whoever was around- family, friends, neighbors lol. It was so good. Of course we didn’t start out with a pizza oven. We started out with Chef Boyardee pizza kits like 15 years before the pizza oven. The pizza kits turned into us making our own dough. We bought a house and started growing tomatoes and making our own sauce. We grew garlic. We started baking pizzas on a pizza stone which turned into these giant tiles in our oven. We fine-tuned the dough. He’d start it the night before with just a little bit of yeast and it was so flavorful. Pizza oven pizza was an all-day affair but so worth it. I still make pizza but it’s not the same inside. Luckily there are places that use wood-fired ovens because that is my favorite. One day maybe I’ll have a pizza oven in my backyard again. Our old one is still standing and I like to think that the family that lives there is enjoying it as much as we did.
