Delicious Ways to Enjoy Fresh Cherries

I had the pleasure of attending a cherry festival this past weekend. Fresh cherries can be a real treat. They are full of promising antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, but more studies are needed (Kelley et al., 2018).

An easy way to enjoy fresh cherries is to put them on overnight oats. Put dried oats in a dish with a cover. Pour desired milk over the top. Add fresh cherries (or even cherry jam). Add desired sweetener if you’re not using cherry jam. Cover your oats and put them in the fridge. Take them out in the morning and enjoy. 🙂

Cherry pie is another tasty way to enjoy cherries. I was looking forward to having a slice at the cherry festival, but they were sold out within a few hours (WHY??!!) and I had to settle for blueberry (which for the record, was just as tasty).
